This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live. All opinions are 100% mine.

After visiting the WP24 rooftop patio bar, L.A. Live was gracious enough to invite me back to try out WP24 by Wolfgang Puck, and it was magical!

WP 24 sits on top of the 24th floor of the Ritz Carlton at L.A Live , and it is a beautiful restaurant! The decor is modern and sleek with amazing views of Downtown LA from every seat/table in the restaurant. The ambiance is very intimate, and is perfect for celebrating any special event (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)a-night-out-at-l-a-live-wp24-by-wolfgang-puck-5

Here’s a view of the top of the Staples Center! I spent part of my dinner trying to find the helipad that Kobe Bryant used to land on for the games, but I don’t think he used to land on top of the Staples Center.

While the views were impressive, I was most excited to try Wolfgang Puck’s award winning modern Asian cuisine. Over the years I’ve watched his passion for Asian ingredients and technique documented through television; so the opportunity to try the menu was very exciting!

We started the evening of with two cocktails.  The Sangria and the Wax on, Wax off! Both drinks were made well, and are perfect for starting off with before the meal.

Next we moved on to the starter…

Maine Lobster Spring Rollsa-night-out-at-l-a-live-wp24-by-wolfgang-puck-6

I chose the Maine Lobster Spring Rolls which were AMAZING! These were my favorite from the night. The ginger and 10 spice honey sauce to go along with the spring rolls was so tasty. I could definitely tell that this was a crowd favorite, and as I noticed that almost everyone in the restaurant ordered these.

As the sun began to set we put in our orders for entrees, and again I couldn’t get enough of how beautiful the view was. The view at night really showed the beauty of the city.a-night-out-at-l-a-live-wp24-by-wolfgang-puck

Indian Spiced Asam Curry Prawnsa-night-out-at-l-a-live-wp24-by-wolfgang-puck-2

First dish I chose were these prawns and they had so much flavor! The prawns were cooked perfectly, and I loved the spices!! Curry leaves, garlic,  cardamom, yogurt, and fenugreek. This was on the spicy side (perfect for me), but if you don’t like spice I wouldn’t order these.

Crispy Wolfe Ranch Quail “General Tso’s”

Next I decided to order one of my favorite “takeout” dishes, the General  Tso’s. Traditionally made with chicken; I have to say I really enjoyed the quail. It was so crispy, and for me that’s the best way to enjoy General Tso’s. The flavor of the chilles, garlic, and scallion were perfect!

Farmer’s Market & Exotic Fruit Platea-night-out-at-l-a-live-wp24-by-wolfgang-puck-3

For dessert I went the healthy route and ordered this fruit plate, and it was delicious! Market berries, stone fruit, and pineapple shaved iced. For me it was the perfect way to end the meal.

The pasty chef, Megan Pothoff sent out this complimentary plate of petit fours and they were delicious too! Inside the fortune cookie it said, “My doctor told me to stop having intimate dinners for four unless there are three other people.” -Orson Welles Lol! Fun fact, Orson Welles actually used to live in my apartment building.

I love WP24 for their a la carte menu, which frequently changes because they love to feature local and seasonal ingredients. It’s the perfect place to grab a meal before the game or a concert, and will make any evening feel extra special!
